Spotted: Jessica Szohr as a blushing bride in all white.
The Gossip Girl alum tied the knot with Brad Richardson Aug. 11 during a boho-chic ceremony in Flagstaff, Ariz., with pals Nina Dobrev and Shaun White in attendance.
"It was the most magical, beautiful day, filled with the people we love the most,” Jessica—who shares 3-year-old daughter Bowie with Brad—told The Knot in an exclusive interview. “It was just a really fun group of people, and it was beautiful to have everyone together.”
Donning a sparkling Galia Lahav high-neck gown with a floral neck cuff and cut-outs, she walked down the aisle at the 150-person ceremony in Christian Louboutin red bottom heels to Leon Bridges’ “Beyond” with her little brother Nick.
"When I turned and saw all these faces I love, it looked like something out of a picture," she noted. "Everything was so beautiful."
For Jessica—who first met the former NHL player at Coachella in 2018—it was important to incorporate her loved ones in all aspects of her special day at Pine Canyon. For instance, her custom veil was adorned with the phrase “Take Time to Smell the Roses,” an homage to her late grandfather.
"My grandpa was such a huge part of my childhood, and he always said that to us," the 39-year-old recalled. "My life was so fast with Gossip Girl, but he would always say, 'Just make sure you're taking time to smell the roses.' That stuck with me."
More familiar faces were also in attendance, including Gossip Girl costar Chace Crawford and The Office’s Brain Baumgartner.
As for Nina, who served as Jessica’s maid of honor, she donned a sage green custom bridesmaid gown. But the Vampire Diaries star’s responsibilities began far earlier than the nuptials, including coordinating the bachelorette trip to Cabo, prepping the intimate activities for the honeymoon and creating a detailed guide for the wedding party.
"I couldn't believe how magical and special she made everything for the wedding," Jessica shared. “I said for whoever is getting married next in our friend group, I feel bad if Nina is not their maid of honor."
And although the Orville actress has three sisters, they all felt her best friend would be the perfect maid of honor. "They all suggested Nina because we've known her for the last 18 years,” she noted. “She's been there for everything."
Nina, Jessica and the rest of the wedding party made sure to tear it up on the dance floor during the reception, too. All the guests were even treated to mini cheesecakes and McDonald’s during the party.
And now, Jessica is ready to spend her happily ever after with Brad.
"I'm just excited to just do life with him," she explained. "It kind of feels like we were married before, but it's nice that I can call him my husband, and he really is my husband."
