Halle Bailey is DetailsCripplingAnxietyOverLeavingSonHaloforWork Poinbankexperiencing a common mom struggle.
The 24-year-old snapped a selfie on a plane looking upset on Oct. 15, explaining that she was struggling with the idea of leaving her 9-month-old son Halo, whom she shares with ex DDG (born Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.).
“Flying tonight to be somewhere for one day but having crippling anxiety without my son,” the Little Mermaid star wrote on Snapchat. “Any advice for moms who still can’t handle when they have to leave for work?”
To help settle her nerves, Halle showed off some champagne in another clip, writing, “Maybe a little bubbly will help.”
Halle’s struggle comes almost two weeks after DDG shared the news that he and Halle had split after two years together in an Oct. 3 Instagram Story.
"After much reflect and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways," he wrote at the time. "This decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we've shared."
One week after the split news, the Color Purple star shared photos of her newly single life with Halo to Instagram.
Captioning the post, “Life is beautiful,” the newly single mom shared photos working out while holding her little cutie, enjoying time at the pool, and having a glass of wine at what appears to be a recording studio.
Halle has kept much of her life with Halo private, opting to hide her pregnancy from the world in 2023.
“There was no way in hell I was going to share the biggest joy of my world with anyone,” she said in an emotional speech on March 7 at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards. “Halo was my gift. He is the greatest blessing, and I had no obligations to expose him, me or my family to that unyielding spotlight.”
