Kylie Jenner transformed into a blonde bombshell.
The Kardashians star recently played dress-up, debuting a platinum blonde look and a bob haircut after rocking waist-length strands for quite some time.
"Did someone say they missed king kylie," Kylie teased in the caption of her June 8 Instagram post, to which her sister Khloe Kardashian cheekily replied, "I did! I did!!!!!!"
Of course, the 26-year-old was referencing her experimental era between 2015 and 2016, in which she frequently changed her hair color.
However, it seems Kylie is taking a style cue from Marilyn Monroe. After all, in her latest selfies, she rocked voluminous pin-up curls and a deep side part like the late Hollywood icon.
This isn't the first time the makeup mogul has channeled the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes actress, either. Just last month, Kylie took a page from Marilyn's fashion playbook while attending the 2024 Met Gala May 6.
At the annual event, Kylie oozed old-Hollywood glamour, wearing a sleek ivory Oscar de la Renta column gown that featured a cone bra structure and dramatic train.
The reality TV star's design was inspired by the statues described in the J.G. Ballard short story that informed the "Garden of Time" theme, according to Vogue.
She's not the only Kardashian-Jenner taking cues from Marilyn. Back in 2022, Kim Kardashian stirred controversy at the Met Gala when she literally slipped into the screen legend's original 1962 naked dress.
"It was such a challenge," Kim told Vogue about wearing the historical piece. "It was like a role. I was determined to fit."
The SKIMS founder revealed she lost 16 pounds in three weeks in order to squeeze into Marilyn's dress.
"I always thought she was extremely curvy," Kim continued. "I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So when it didn't fit me I wanted to cry because it can't be altered at all."
When it comes to transformations, the Kardashian-Jenners aren't afraid to go full force. But they aren't the only stars switching up their style. Keep reading to see all of the epic makeovers in recent months.
